and i heard all that thing about iriver working only on 110v 60hz

and that got me worried, when the battery goes low, what to do then?

how much is a working life period for a battery? how much will is cost to replace it?

almost all my audiofiles are q6-7 OGGs, i dont shuffle around or change tracks often, battery lasts about 12-13 hours..

if you use MP3s, you will get longer usage

there was a thread on iriver's future battery placement. it's starting in Japan soon, and listed price for battery replacing is around $40 at japan...very good deal if u ask me

If you play 128 CBR MP3s, you get at least 17 hours of battery life, provided you do not use the backlight a lot or shuffle a lot.

Since the battery is a li-ion polymer battery, its life will be quite long. Li polymer batteries do not suffer catastrophic failure like normal li-ion batteries. So they will continue to work a long time (500 charges with at least 80 percent capacity). More cycles will slowly decrease capacity.

Q. How long will internal battery last? Will it have to be replaced eventually?
A. An internal Li-Ion Polymer battery is used for iHP. The life expectancy of rechargeable batteries is usually calculated by how many times it can be re-charged / discharged and charged. The manufacturer of the iHP battery guarantees that it can be re/discharged over 3,000 times. It is also guaranteed to perform at a minimum of 80% of its initial performance before 3000 times of re/discharging.
