The Cube C60 has been announced. I have been using the C30 for the last two months and quite happy for its sound (review here). C60 will be the successor of the C30 and also be SQ oriented.

Some of the spec:

Freescale / SigmaTel STMP3780 controller (C30 uses STMP3770)

Dual mono National Semiconductor rail-to-rail high output opamps (C30 use single Maxim opamp)

BBE supported

NO uSD support :(

Check out this MP4 Nation thread for more picture and some early pricing om Chinese website.

oooh pretty

According to MP4Nation it currently only supports MP3 and WAV, but it's still in it's early stage and should easily start supporting formats such as FLAC.

Glad to hear micro SD expansion is still supported,

Hope it's true about the firmware being updated to run more than mp3 and wav.

It will probably take Cube the first months the get the firmware right, but the hardware itself is more than capable of supporting lossless format and even video and photo, depends on how the STMP3780 is implemented. You can't really tell the it from the picture, but C60 will have similar size to Nano 4G.

So it looks like the C60 might not have the issue of the screen being hard to use in daylight that the C30 has reported to have. I'll look forward to this whenever it is released.

Raz over at MP4Nation just confirmed that it won't have any uSD slot, which is a big bummer.

Ouch!  I think that's not good for anyone concerned.  YGPM btw.

Dang. That's like finding out your date was wearing a padded bra. No, I suppose they didn't ever exaggerate its capacity. So it's more like finding out your date isn't your preferred gender, or human.

Does the C30 also not have a slot? If that's the case, perhaps Nationite might end up making a version with one, like the Nanite N2?

No, C30 (a.k.a. N2) does have a TF slot. If MP4Nation ever takes the C60 as N3, I do hope they will make it at least a 8GB+.

The C60 will be released soon, and like stated many times before in this thread, it will not have a tf card slot. Cube is not Sony, so I do not know how they could miss something like that! The C30 is actually a good DAP and the C60 was expected to be an improvement over the C30, but -> FAIL :(

TBH, I would still give it a try if it will be released in a 8gb+ version, but at the moment it is still just 4gb...
