Portable HD800? *crosses fingers*

A HD700 or HD850? Sennheisers designed by Kayne?

New top-tier or side top-tier phone?  Can't wait to see it.
 
Sennheiser knows there has been a lot of competition in this area over the past 2 years and probably want to stay on top.  I still feel the HD800 is the best dynamic phone out there right now.

It would be cool to see Sennheiser make similar tweaks as HD600 -> HD650 with the HD800. 

IEM's that sound like HD800's for 37$ you say?! Sounds great, I am in.

I doubt they will be releasing any new top tier phone. It hasn't been so long since the 800, and the 558/598 just came out in the mid-hi tier as well. More likely they'll hit up the gaming, wireless and iphone demographics (as mentioned above).

The announcement kinda looks like there will only be new portable etc gear (lifestyle)... If you guys announce a new top model (HD 650+ level) I´ll be the first to try it My dream would be a new HD 650 style product (no sibilance and bright treble) based on HD 800 technology. In other words, bring some HD 800 technology to other models...
 
If there´s going to be something like that next year, CES is our best chance to know about it. Interesting times!

There will be no successor for HD650 yet. I don't think HD800 is a successor but a higher end headphone than HD650

There mayyy just be a replacement for the hd650's....In the past few months ive seen the hd650s cheaper than I've EVER seen them...usually happens before a refresh imo

did the 600 ever kick the bucket? seems redundant to have both the 600 and 650 for sennheiser
 

Why would they be redundant?

IE9?

HD25-1 III?, actually I just ordered the HD25-1 II so it wouldn't be great news for me.
