I would guess headphones, since that's what they are... Also, since they only have 2 channels (i.e. stereo), the 5 or 7-channel outputs might not work.

I've heard that using "Cinema Theater" setting works well for Dolby Headphone.

It doesn't have those settings in any of the games, but it sounds surprisingly good with 5.1 on, maybe it's just me.

I originally chose the DJ1-Pro because I wanted something somewhat portable with good bass that I could use on the train. It'll be used for a lot of stuff, but mostly electro, classic rock and some metal.

From what I've read, the 680 is one of the brighter Ultrasones. The DJ1 is decent, though a bit boomier than other Ultrasones I've heard and only aveage for bass. It could do with some damping inside.
 
If you're looking for bass, you might consider looking at the HFi580 or Pro750. Which Canadian site are you looking at?

I have to admit, the names that I knew of before this hunt are not the names I am being presented with and that is a bit of a shock.  Frankly, it seems like whatever I would buy at BestBuy would be junk.  That seems so strange and I can't figure out why a store like that wouldn't carry these products that get great reviews and such.  Its probably the whole big box attitude or something.

Those choices are all over the place in terms of functionality and price. What sort of criteria do you have?

What do I want?

- Treble, Mid, and Bass are all important to me obviously, but I dont want somethign that has bass that'll sound like a rocket is blasting off right next to my ear. Powerful bass is nice, but dont overdo it. Also, I learned to appreciate treble as I started out on Sony Giiq's (yeah you can all laugh now, but we all started somewhere!).
- DURABILTIY. BIIIG ONE RIGHT HERE.
- Comfortability. These'll be everywhere with me. When I eat, when I'm walking home, when I'm in my room, etc. Gotta be comfortable around the next and on the ears
- Some styling. Im not asking for super stylish ones, as even the MDR-V6 Sony's are decently styled enough for me, but lets not pick out the ugliest headphones of life Like the GS1000s (dont bite me D: I know they sound like an angel's choir, I just dont like how they look, thats it.)
-I'll probably be running the Fiio E6 with it. It's getting shipped to me as we speak, so I dont know what else to say about em other than the headphones will be amplified most of the time.

The Senn HD280 is king of isolation in the budget end. The DT770pro is actually a touch better, though I'm not sure if you'll be able to find it below $150. (it's usually closer to $180-200)

again looking for accurate reproduction. both my iems are balanced armature based, i really like to hear the music as it should be. thing is, today i put on my friends cans and my god the soundstage was so much nicer sounding right off the bat, so i want to get myself a pair.

Open backed headphones do not heat up as much as closed ones, so are more comfortable in that regard.

So, I know I have posted a lot to this thread, but I think I want to ask a question this time.  I have Sennheiser HD595, Denon AH-D1100, and had Grado SR-60i.  I figure, the Senns and Denons are some thick sounding headphones, and I am looking for something a bit airy and light.  IDK, something a little less bass heavy than the Senns or Denons.  Not a pair of Grados, nothing treble hot or grating.  So far, I have been looking at the Audio Technica ATH-AD900.  The graphs for the AD900 look amazing.

Even before I finishe reading, the Audio Technicas were coming to mind. Purrin's got some crazy graphs of the AD2000 which actually seem faster than the LCD2 at times.

The AD2000s are way out of my reach.  The great thing is that it doesn't exactly look like these need much of an amp either.  I imagine they improve with an amp, but one shouldn't be necessary.  Correct?

The winged audio technicas really don't need much in terms of amping. They're all low impedance with relatively high sensitivity.
 
Looks like the AD900 is about $200-230 new. The AD2000's apparently go for about $300 USD used in Japan. If only shipping weren't so high...

Low $200s are my limit, which the AD900s fall in perfectly.  They would be for christmas, so getting new would be necessary.  Comfort wise, how do you think they compare to the Sennheiser HD595/598s?  Also, are they hard to get a proper seal?  I know they are open, but I always like the get a good fit.  Also, how do you think they would do with rock?  Not looking for superforwardness just a bit more bite in the treble than my HD595s.

After an opamp upgrade, the Xonars sound good, really good.  IMO, I say getting the Xonar is a better decision if you are wanting something cheap.  However, remember, it isn't portable.  You can't just plug it into another computer without taking the first one apart.

I cant find any good used Denon AH-D2000 in my country so I am forced to find a nother pair of HP.
I have tried the Shure SRH840 as I was suggested and I like the sound, they just had too little bass. And they were UNCOMFORTABLE! too heavy and the headband is really bad.
What should I go for?
price is 200 euros roughly.

I personally find the Audio Technicas very comfortable, but also quite loose. For me they don't really seal so much as simply rest of my head. On the other hand, I have a friend who actually bikes with an A700 so they seem secure enough on his head.
 
Compared to the Senn, they have a little less midbass and a bit more treble bite.

If the Shure 840 is not enough bass... you're into Sony XB700 and Ultrasone Pro900 territory then.
