How do you attach an amp to a Discman?

Thread Starter

I have a Discman here, a D-32, fairly large. Also a HeadRoom Portable Micro amp.

Tested today and found out that my phones sound better amped. I can make a mini-mini IC, no problem. But I don't know how I should attach this amp to the Discman. Top cover? Even if I found some means to fix the amp onto the top cover, the cover won't stay opened, thus complicating disc changing.

None of my current bags can hold these two at the same time. However I saw this one guy using a Discman and a Sound Devices HX-3 in a bag.

So how should I attach the amp? The bottom is not an option, since the Portable Micro is somewhat curved and has two rubber bumpers at each end.

Thank you very much.

EDIT: Actually found a leather man-purse (whatever you call those things) that can fit these two. Excellent. Now I'll just have to figure out a way not to put too much strain on that Line-out jack...

Cut a slit in the case, somewhere

Glue, somehow, a clip, look around at a nearby hardware store or a craft store for a thick metal clip that has two good flat sides.

Glue on side to the amp, or use tape or those wall hangers that have the strips of them (use the strip without the hanger)

Clip to case

But a big enough case, look around Amazon, I bought one that fit my amp, a pair of buds and my Zune HD for $1

I cut holes it in to have the plugs tick out and I can open it to adjust everyhting

CD players are a little tricky.
