I'm looking for over ear headphones for under 100. The lower the better.
I will use these mainly at home while doing homework.
Since I'll be studying or on the computer I'd like these to at least a have a decent seal. Not so much that I can't hear anything going on around me. Just something good enough that I feel like its mostly me and the music.
So on that note, nothing that lets sound leak out.
I will use these unamped. They will either be plugged into my ipod or my laptop. So the songs will range from 128kbps mp3's to a few WAV files.
Also I need something comfortable. Ive heard es7's are good but that they hurt after like 30min.
I mostly listen to rock, indie, stuff like that. Not too much rap but I have some. So I dont need anything bass crazy. I've heard Audio Technica AD700 are good but ppl say they have almost ZERO bass which I dont want either.

So what do you guys suggest?
Thanks!

As in so no sound leaks to ppl around me.

So far im leaning towards the JVC's. Any other suggestions close to that price? the reviews seem rly good.

how are the sennheiser HD 202's? compared to the JVC's.
Let me edit the price to 60 or under now. I'm looking for something a little cheaper.

The JVC's are good for the price, but i use them mainly for home listening.

I mean thats what I'd use mine for. How are they compared to the HD202's? 20$ difference.

Oops,

I never owned the 202's but the JVC's are well regarded here, they have nice bass + comfort and you can make mods on them. (to improve soundstage, etc)
They're worth the extra $20.

Thanks good to know. I think I'll be getting those. The price is awesome and so r the reviews.

Yes, they are!
They were/are out of stock from amazon, due to the increasing demand.
Post your impressions once you get them!

Hey guys, so I'm doing a little more research and seeing more options. I can't edit the title but I'd now like to keep it under 50$.

I've run into these options:
Audio Technica ATH-30
JVC RX700
HD202

Any others? Still leaning towards the JVC's though.

If you're lucky spot Superlux HD668b (~$35) HD660 (~45) 662 series (662, 662B or 662F, they have difference characteristic. About $30) hurry and grab them. They are cheap, but very good for its price. I read about Superlux HD681 (and its sibling: 681B and 681F) but I never heard them, so I can't comment on them. I think 662 series will good for your rock music. Oh, if you can grab Grado SR60i for $60, go grab it, Grado is very good for rock!

So far I'm still looking at the JVC's. How are the 700's compared to the JVC HARX900? They will cost be 5$ more.
