hahaha I don't wana give any spoilers

All I will say is that I can see the change being taken as good or bad depending on what your looking for. The soundstage is the most noticeable change, and to me it's a huge improvement (besides how comfy they are now!).

Um, changed for the better? If so how? At least give us some clues before the review!

Alright guys, why are these so impossible to find lately? It's been like this for a few weeks, and almost every retailer doesn't 'expect' them for another 3-5 weeks! Gosh it almost seems like there was a recall or something. I have found the 2900s at a few places for the full $550+, and the Pro 900 at ONE place for $476. Both of these have been had for MUCH lower so I don't want to pay that premium, but it looks like I may have to.

Ultrasone: What the ****'s going on over there???

Ha ha, you can thank Jibbie and this thread for that!  Why not just bite the bullet and get them anyway?  I doubt you'll be regretting that purchase decision much.

Can someone post photos of how the J-money pads get glued to the Ultrasone splined plates? I'd like to see what position works best on the back of the J-money pads. With the reports of such sonic improvements, I'm considering purchasing a set. Did the two owners get the v3 pads?

Thanks in advance.

Some pics

Basically all I did was rip the swivels off the spare pads, and hot glue them to the bottom of the J$ pads. Be careful to line them up so that they will fit as you want on the headphones when you lock them into place though.

EDIT: If your wondering I wear them with the smaller part of the pad in front and the larger part facing back. I tried both ways and the sound seemed a little muffled the other way around.

(sorry for bluriness! I'm not to handy with a camera)

Hmm. A lot of that will hinge on your review Colmustard! I actually bought some J$ for my D2000 a year ago and they definitely helped those by tightening up it's boomy bass a bit. Unfortunately it was still one-note bass though lol. I gotta go back now and try and find Nachkebia's comments on this 'mod' as well. FWIW, I'm not gonna even try the Kees mod-I'm just gonna let 'em burn in for 400+ hours. Seems they are quite similar at that point anyway. Still debating on which to get though, but I'm leaning towards the 2900 since it theoretically should have better SQ perhaps.

Thanks for the pics colmustard. That helps a lot. I'll probably try this at some point.
