this looks like the fake part imo, one i had has no tape..

This is the one I just got on eBay, its kinda different looking compare the one I had before, but since my old one was gone for a while, I cant compare'em any farther..

Could you guys help me to verify it please?

They look real to me imo. If that red chip is in the right driver you should be good to go. Comparing them with this thread: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/457420/warning-fake-ie8s-comparison-pictures-included , the red chip looks legit, as does the Sennheiser logo on the jack and the back of the headphones. The case looks kinda fake tho, compared to the thread ^

Idk tho, I'm just a noob, lol.

You can confirm with Sennheiser but to me they looks close to (good) fake one's as it confirmed here before with pics.

Its really hard to say since i have no other IE8 on my hand to compare with..all i can do now is post more pics here let you guys take a look

How does it work? If I bring to any Sennheiser dealer store in the U.S, are they able to tell me its fake or not?
