First cable build need advice (Sennheiser 650 Recable)

Hey Guys,

So I just started to build my first cable and realized I am not sure how to proceed.

I am using Magomi 2534 microphone cable.

I currently have it setup in the following:

Neutrik TRS plug:

Blue = tip

White = Ring

Copper Shield = Ground

This is how I received the cable from ebay.

I wanted to know if I should double up the blues/whites and use the shield copper as ground going to the cardas plugs or do I re-solder whites to ground and blue to there respective sides?

Lastly, Which plug is which on the cards? big plug ground little plug power?

Thanks guys.

I would recommend using blues for positive, whites for ground (or vice versa). The shield should be connected to ground on the TRS, but nowhere else.

The ground wires go into the larger of the cardas pins.
