Sluggish browsing on iPhone Safari?

Recently it has become very difficult to read threads in head-fi forum with my iPhone Safari browser.
Scrolling the page is very slow and often unresponsive.  The threads don't even contain big images.
The sluggishness usually happens after the page has finished loading.
Anyone else experience this?

It wasn't this slow until recent weeks (months?).  Was something changed on the forum, or a new ad panel that's slowing things down?

Safari is turd on my 2nd gen touch. Try Opera Mini. It has some bugs (biggest being inability to post) but for browsing Head-Fi at least it's functional.

i agree.i didnt like it before but now on my touch after the page is fully loaded,it doesnt want to scroll down 95% of the time until after 10-15sec..

jjmai (and others), you mentioned "recently."  Can you kindly estimate when you started noticing this?  You mentioned weeks or months, but it's hard to narrow down anything in particular.  If you could be more specific, that'd be appreciated.
 
That said, I've filed a ticket, including a link to this thread.

Hard to say.  At least 2~3 weeks, or more.
For example, when I am browsing joker's IEM thread's latest replies (http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/478568/), with iphone over wifi.  It loads to around 80~90% on the progress bar, I can scroll just fine for a while during that time.  Then all of a sudden, usually after reaching 100% progress, it become extremely slow.

Yup, I've noticed the same thing the past couple of weeks. When you go into a thread, it gums up and doesn't scroll or resize. This thread scrolled, but I'm not able to resize it. This seems to happen after the page finishes loading, as well.

I can send a new PM now, but I'm still chasing the occasional dialog box which keeps jumping to the lower right hand corner. After I send a PM, sometimes it asks me to click "OK" and that box has to be chased for a few minutes. I usually have to resize the screen as small as possible and try to poke the OK several times before it takes.

I'm using an iPhone 4 and the latest iOS 4.2.
