I recently bought a Nokia 5230 and I'm lovin it, the only problem is the output...just as widely known around the world, 5230,5530 and 5800 tend to hav lower volume then wanted....so yeh my 5230 has lower volume than desired....its not really unbearable and I think the sound quality is kinda better than my 2700 Classic.
 
Anyways, I was just wondering, I found some Fiio's for sale here in the Philippines and I'm wondering, does Fiio E5 improve the volume? THATS ALL I NEED
 
pls try to entertain my questions
 
Does the volume get louder?
Is there any distortion?
Lottsa Hiss? how do I avoid?
 
Thats pretty much all of it, all I need is the volume, I really don't think I'll want/need the bass boost, my headphones are alredy good at that and most of my songs don't even need a lot of bass to be enjoyable.

If volume boost is all you need, you can save some money and get the E3.
