THE best female vocals? (your favorite female singers)
Aug 7, 2015 at 2:25 AM Post #2,671 of 5,014
It's been a while since I've shared on here.  I have a massive list of artists that haven't been posted so I'm finally getting around to it.  Thanks by the way to those who have posted before.  From suggestions on here I've recently picked up Mammifer, Elena House, Emma McGrath, Aurora, Yulia Savicheva, The Sweeplings (I really think we share similar tastes illyria), and I'm sure others.

Linda Perhacs: folk sound

Three for Silver- folk?

Jesse Montoya - local artist here, been impressed quite a bit from what I've heard.  And no idea how to link Soundcloud, so hoping this works

La Luz - surf bubblegum sound

Casey Lee Williams - not sure what to call this.  Rock?  I ended up watching a show called RWBY and it ended up really sticking with me primarily due to the music it featured.  She is on quite a few songs on both soundtracks.

Daemon Lost - new symphonic metal band I found on Bandcamp

And that's it for this post.  Many more to come.

Chelsea Wolfe's new album, Abyss, dropped tonight. I have been enjoying it a lot, and have the vinyl ordered.

Upgrading from my DT880 to a pair of HifiMan HE500s is the best thing I have done in a good long while. It's not the HE560, but it was a huge step up.

Edit -
I will be going through your list tomorrow, Triggerfish.

And time to add another batch:

Indila - French amazing sound

Lost in the Fog - Japanese rock/pop

Ormonde - Anna Lynn Williams, one of my favorite voices (main singer of the now gone Trespassers William) (also goes by Lotte Kestner)

Greetje Kauffeld - Dutch jazz singer

Anaria - symphonic metal (and some of the friendliest people in person)

Twin Bandi - two great female folk vocalists for the price of one!

And that is it for now.  I'll probably toss a couple of more posts out in the next week.  Enjoy!

The last time you posted Anna-Lynne Williams was the first time I had heard her voice. I somehow ended up with a signed Ormonde vinyl, a signed Bluebird of Happiness vinyl (arrived yesterday), a signed CD of every Lotte Kestner release (including the limited edition Depeche Mode CD) and a signed CD of every Trespassers William release.

Only missing a physical copy of Ormonde's first release.

My wallet hates you, haha.

From suggestions on here I've recently picked up .... Yulia Savicheva,

I remember I recently posted her newest song. She kinda specializes in sad romantic songs which she does really well.

I was impressed by that performance, there were tears in her eyes - don't know if it were great acting skills or sincere feelings. I suspect she is a good actress.

She became popular because of this song above. Here is the original version below which she presented several years ago when she was young.
