I ordered two copies of the album version, one for me and one for my brother who first told me about her some10 years ago. I think I'll pre-order the CD, too.

This album started me down a expensive journey, first it was a used TT from eBay for $50 that was a disaster, then a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon, Acrylic Platter, Bellari Tube Preamp, Vinyl cleaning accessories and a bunch of new vinyl.

Long story short, what started with a $50 investment to get back into vinyl ended up being $1000 and now I really want to go the extra mile and get a Music Hall Music Hall mmf 5.1 SE or a Rega RP3.

Damn You Diana Krall!!!!  very_evil_smiley.gif

Glad Rag Doll.  Really.

There are many, but two stand out in unique style for me.

1. Regina Spektor (what can I tell you, she's Russian so expect some weird stuff). YT - Fidelity

2. Maire Brennan - if you like Irish folk music, you owe it to yourself to check out her album Maire. YT - Ce Leis

Definitely a little disappointed with DK Glad Rag Roll, at least there is the cover.

Rumer does sound quite nice, however I still prefer Karen Carpenter.

Johnette Napolitano from Concrete Blonde.

Hands-down my favorite of all time.  There's just something about her voice and the way it soars that makes me feel good.

I'll preface this by acknowledging that Country music is not the most popular genre, but nonetheless, Trisha Yearwood has a nice voice. She's been a popular session singer on numerous artists' records, in addition to her own (also very successful) solo efforts, over the years:

...and in the same genre, Suzy Bogguss has a nice voice, too:

...as does Kathy Mattea:

CoCo from Quadron.

I discovered her a few days ago when I got to hear her at a concert. Her voice is phenomenal and she just puts so much emotion into her songs. Definitely check her out:
