Portable player for US$200

Hi there!

Well, I want to buy a new audio player, and I count with a budget up to US$ 200. I will use unamped HiFiMAN RE0 phones and I'll be listening to lossless and high bitrate MP3 audio files. I'm aiming specially towards sound quality and expandability (i.e. memory card(s) support), though a long battery life would be nice too; I don't really care about hi-tech touch-screens, video playback, the player being fancy-looking, etc.

If you need to know more stuff before recommending one to me, please feel free to ask. Thanks in advance!

I'm also interested in buying a new portable audio player with also about the same budget

from reading around this site, I see a lot of people liking the cowons and also the sansa clip/fuze.  i'm probably not the best source for details for these, but if you search for these brands, you might find something you like smily_headphones1.gif

i'm actually currently leaning towards cowon j3 or cowon x7

Thank you both for the recommendations smily_headphones1.gif

@Bokyung (or anyone else): in your opinion, which one of those you mentioned is the best soundwise?

They are pretty equal imo.

If you want customized EQ go for cowon, if you aren't much of a EQ freak, any of those is a great choice smily_headphones1.gif

Best one to carry around is Clip+ (smallest screen) since it's around 1inch.
