Not bad for a first try. I use PNP as well. I suggest trying different temperatures on your iron. The result also varies when you heat it for longer/shorter time.

Looks like your learning fast Spacehead.

The traces on the second half of your board look

all squished because you used too much heat

or pressure when you ironed it on.

You can get much better results with a Laminator

than with an iron. This one is the recommended one.

Keep practicing with the iron and you might get as

good as Fred_Fred....

For drilling holes, this is what you need.

Make sure to use it in a drill press, they snap easily.

Here are a couple of power supplies I just finished.

A LM338 5 Amps regulator and a LM317/LM337

Dual tracking regulator. Both designed for use

with off board transformers.

Those turned out quite nice!

Here is where I get my drill bits:

These are carbide, so they really snap easily. Drill press is a must for these.

Thank you for the complement and the link Pars.

Their 8 piece circuit board drill set look like a good deal.

Their 8 piece PCB set caught my eye as well, but the site didn't work for me when I tried to check-out the cart to see what postage would be; just returned a server error frown.gif

EDIT - Oops, it's working now.
