Hello everyone,
I have the Parasound D/AC 1100HD powered by the ATH-HA5000 listened through the W5000's, and yesterday I have found that many songs sounded "digitally" harsh... So just fooling around I connected my amp directly to my Ipod (AC Coupled) ( I know it's crazy ) and all of a sudden the sound sounded much more spacious and analog like, no joke, before I was thinking about purchasing a CDP that has tubes, but now the sound is clear, warm and very spacious... even the bass has improved vastly... It's not psychological, since it's like night and day when flipping back and forth, even the volume control is more flexible with the Ipod as a source... I know it sounds crazy, what do you think guys is wrong with my precious DAC? Either way, I could not be happier now, before the only flaw of my system was it was a little harsh or hot, but now, it's so lush and clear, it's truly stunning! Ciao...
