I was looking at either getting the K272HD or the K271 MK2, and went for the K271 due to it's reacher bundle. (2 pads and 2 detachable cables)
I did notice the K271 is made in China vs the K272 in Austria. Is that an issue ?
Also was planning to break them in for some hours, but the automute does not keep them going
once they're off my head. Any way to overcome that ?
It came with the leather pads attached. Any reason to switch to the other pads ? is it just a matter of comfort ?

yes velor pads are more comfortable and offer bertter isolation. You don't have to worry about that logo,I believe they are manufactured in china now.

The cylinder on the 271 on the side of the automute switch has a protrusion that can be rotated up 90 degrees so it doesn't turn on the automute when you take off the headphone.

Thanks guys for the responses.
I have no clue how to replace the pads, and where to find the automute switch.
is it recommended to use a headphone amp with this model ?
