Well if you've heard both Grado SR225i and have also heard a Sennheiser 555+ or Beyerdynamic DT/770/880/990 or something else a-bit higher.

My desperate attempt at getting you to post is far.

PlEaSe tell me! Which was better?

Is the hype true are grados what they are built up to be in the comics and action movies(sarcasm)?

Again I really really appreciate it if someone posted with experience on the above.

Thanks!

if you're not sure whether you will like the grado sound sig, how about trying out the lower tier phones, every grado phone has the distinct grado sound sig, the only difference is, amount of bass, soundstage and detail

Grados are ridiculously hyped IMO. You should try them eventually though, but maybe not buy new unless there is a good return policy.

However, I prefer Audio Technicas over Grados by far in sound character and comfort, but WE will not know if YOU will unless you tell us the music you listen to.

Well thanks guys.

I just sold my 555's and looking for something Up^ a notch.

I hear 325i isn't much different from 225i and quite frankly I believe it.

My only reason for that would be well, Grado seems like it has a signature sound and from my research it sounds the same all the way up just more improved feq. response.

Maybe I should save for an RS2i
