Apparently these guys are making custom earbuds (ibuds) from photographs. They cost $30 for the entire package, or $20 if you already have the ibuds. I'm not sure how successful they are, but since the insertion isn't terribly deep perhaps they can get a decent custom fit.
And though the SQ will definitely be lacking, you do get the comfort (and presumably) some extra isolation from the quasi-custom fit. The company's market drivel states that yurbuds are "created for the human ear by athletes, audiologists, and engineers to stay in place, avoid pressure points, and provide a pain-free listening experience."
Anyone up for ordering them and giving headfi a review?
If nothing else they should make for a very comfortable pair of sleeping headphones.
