I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for, I want something deep, good lyrics, moody, heavy. I prefer something without or very little screaming and/or growling. In pretty consistent rotation lately: In Flames - Soundtrack To Your Escape, Slipknot - All Hope Is Gone, VNV Nation.. So something metal, heavy metal, melodic death, industrial etc...

My music taste vary depending on mood anything from old Dinosaur Jr. (Where you Been), NIN, older Korn (Issues, Follow the Leader), Mudvayne, Disturbed, Nirvana  to Indie, The Walkmen, Nick Drake, Grizzly Bear.

I know not much to go on but if anyone has some suggestions I'm all ears!

Have you heard of Gojira? I consider it some of the heaviest music I've listened to and the lyrics are mostly clean with very little growling (I can't handle much growling myself). I'd link to youtube but it's blocked at work, there are a few music videos there though. Their 2 newest albums are the most polished and probably the best place to start. My favorite so far is 'From Mars To Sirius' but the followup 'The Way Of All Flesh' is arguably a stronger album although darker.

If you don't own any Tool albums definitely check them out as well.

Also X2 on NIN - Broken, a must-own album imo.

Thanks everyone, can't believe I forgot to list NIN, I love most of it, also I have Tools first album but it doesn't get much rotation I think I need to give it a few more listens.

Also thanks for the recommendations, I"m off to check out the above mention bands Gojira and Godflesh

There pretty cool too, far from heavy, more alt but I'm open to any suggestions of "good" music, clean vocals, and good lyrics.

Thanks again for the suggestions so far
