I've got a pair of December 2015 LCD-2 with the improved extension and I'm finding 11-12KHz peak a little harsh in a lot of my songs. Anyone else find this? The rest of the sound is absolutely perfect though.

Music? Source? Dac? Amp?
The LCD2 is not really on the bright side, but it can be very detailed and revealing.
So if something is wrong or weak in your chain you might hear it with the LCD.
Also 90% of the releases nowadays are sonically aggressive and lifeless.

Has anyone matched the LCD-2 with the Woo WA7 fireflies?  I know different tubes produce different results, but curious if tubes make the LCD-2 a little too laid back?

I'd be very much more concerned about your ears - there's this thing called "too much volume". It can do a lot of damage.

THIS!! If you are physically shaking the LCD-2 then you should be concerned about your hearing.

GUYS!!! I received my headphones back from Audeze yesterday after my right driver was giving me some issues. All in all, a great blessing in disguise because i'm 99% certain that my drivers are more in line with the newer models being shipped. I say this because the bass is very obviously much better extended now. I posted a graph of the original drivers with the attenuated bass so this is absolutely awesome. Also, it only took just over a week from the day Audeze received the headphones, so all in all i'm one happy customer now.
