Actually, I'm not even sure if these T1's are burned in or not.  Maybe some of you owners who have heard the T1's from out of the box to full burn in can comment.  For the most part things sound good, but I keep getting sibilance on the vocals.  Right now that's really the most annoying thing.  I'm going to let them play over night, and maybe during the day tomorrow, and see what they're like then.
 
Edit: I went back and read more of this thread, and saw the comments where people say that positioning of the T1s is important.  I experimented with this, and noticed that like other said, pushing the cans towards the front of my head takes the sibilance away.  While this is a good thing, it's also bad because doing so causes more clamping directly behind me ears, making the glasses I wear press tightly against my head, causing discomfort.

YMMV,  but I really didn't notice much of a burn-in effect on my pair. I think either the Lyr isn't a good match or the T1s aren't your cup of tea. 
 
BTW, if anyone wants a great demo, fire up the Deadmau5 concert on Netflix streaming and listen with your T1s...I've seen it twice now and loved every minute.

Sounds like those are the overly bright versions that I was stuck with for a while.  Beyer eventually replaced them for me and the 2nd pair were perfect.  Not bright and lots of bass.
 
The T-1s are not a bright headphone, nor are they sibilant.  If someone is hearing an overly bight sound, possibly accompanied by a light bass, they are listening to  defective headphones..
 
My advice would be to return them as fast as possible and get another pair.
 
I also disagree that the T-1s need tubes.  They are much better from my GS-1 than my Woo3.  Not many headphones let you hear all the resolution a GS-1 has to offer.

Not sure if you saw my edit on that post, but I did play around with positioning a bit, and that seems to help.  I did have the T1's pushed more "back."  When I move them towards the middle or even a bit towards the front of my head, it helps to even out the sound.  I was surprised at how much of a difference it can make.

You could be right about the amps.  I love the Lyr because of the sheer power and drive it has, yet has that slight touch of tube warmth because it's a hybrid.  As far as the T1's being defective, I'm starting to wonder if the "defective" headphones just had a problem with the angle of the drivers inside, since the positioning seems to greatly affect how these things sound.  Never on any other headphone have I heard such a difference when moving the headphones back and forth on my head.

How extensively have you listened to the T1s with the Lyr compared to other amps?

I owned the Lyr/GS-1 and T1s for a while....so A-Bing them was quite easy. I no longer own the Lyr, but still have the GS-1 and T1s.

Gotcha.  I'm gonna have to admit the T1s are kinda growing me on a bit, which is scary.  Still have a lot of other cans to demo, but I think the Lyr is going to match best with the orthos I'm demoing (HE-500, HE-6, LCD-2).  I'm taking lots of notes though, so my final decision will be a little easier to make.

The Lyr is a fantastic ortho amp (though less so with the LCD-3s and admirably good with the HE-6s).

Any other solid state amps that perform on a similar level with T1s?

To answer another question... And I think I'm in he minority here, but I felt the t1 and v200 combo was amazing. I sold it to fund a wa2 which I've always loved... But I feel myself missing the dynamic sound that came from the v200.

I have the V200 with the T1.  Took a little while to find the right gain settings/volume combo but now I'm really pleased with the performance. Great dynamic sound, good soundstage. Great detail, but not overly analytical.
