Plakat i want something where the sound stage is in front of me...not laid back....and in V shape...not bright....rather dark :)

Don't know how to make the T1 dark sounding, but the Phonitor 2 could really help move the sound stage to the front instead of 'in your head': its configurable simulation of near field monitors does exactly that.
Meiers crossfeed is another (much cheaper, but still very good) option, though the effect is not the same as with the Phonitor (which offers crossfeed as well). A smaller, cheaper version called Phonitor Mini will be available in May (I think), offering a simpler matrix configuration.

Hey guys, new T1 owner here!

I have heard the DT880 and DT990 and then read a lot of comparisons so I pretty much knew what to expect, but mother of god, what clarity... The level of detail is insane, even with my currently lacking signal chain (flac&spotify320 -> U7 -> CanAmp). I'm currently saving up for Uberfrost+Valhalla, can't wait to pair them with the T1! Anyways, hello to everyone :)

The highs sound very slightly harsh but I'm absolutely confident that is because of my chain+lack of burn-in. Even if they didn't improve from this, I would still be extremely impressed with these cans.

I think I have found my end game headphone. Every single genre I throw at it sounds great. Movies sound amazing. Gaming has a whole new level of accuracy/detail.

I can't get over how good these sound on the first day already, and with the canamp. Just... I'm grinning :D

Congratulations and welcome! I love the T1 and couldn't live without it, especially for acoustic and small ensemble jazz with vocals, like you, for the level of clarity they provide.

I find the T1 exceptional with classical music - symphonies, and also string quartets which I've been recently been listening to. I switch to my other headphones, and I can enjoy the music, and have no complaints with the SQ. But every time I come back to the T1, it immediately reminds me of its qualities. For example, the melodies, and musical lines which were subdued or even hidden are defined clearly with the T1.

I find the representation of percussion instruments particularly realistic - it even surprises me with its abilities.

I keep trying other headphones thinking that there must be something better out there. I recently tried HD800s, TH-900s and  LCD-2s all at the same meet (so from the same chain of X-Sabre --> Bottlehead Mainline) and while I'm getting a pair of LCD 2s to complement my T1s, there's no other headphone that I would choose to replace the T1s.

True, though I appreciate other headphones I hear (e.g. LCD-2, HD650) and thinking of getting a second pair. I always get reminded how I like T1 after listening to other headphones. Choosing my second headphone to complement my T1 is getting more difficult for me. It just feel nothing is closer to T1 as an all-in one headphone. Other headphones excel at very specific type of music but is crappy on other types.

Now I'm looking at Oppo PM-1. The FR curve looks similar to T1 but with lower treble levels. I'm curious how it sounds compared to T1

I've recently heard the same at our (small) meet in Vienna: 'Actually I already have my perfect set.' I guess thats what meetings are also intended to, not only spark new lust for equipment...

For me its time and time again the T1 I come back to, currently favouring the Phonitor 2 as its amp, looking forward to the upcoming A 2 I ordered yesterday. Right now I lsiten to the T1 on my vacation setup, iPhone as transport, HP-P1 as DAC and HP-V1 as amp... a lovely combination, especially given its miniature size.

Looking forward to seeing some reviews of the new Oppo HA-1 balanced headphone amp/DAC its due for release here (uk) next month it looks interesting if the reviews are good it could prove very tempting.

2nd day listening, I let them run overnight, sounds even better. Probably some listener burn-in, and maybe even headphone too. The most impressive aspect really is that these cans do absolutely everything well.
