Your experience parallel's mine! I thought I was the only one!

I have been rotating four different headphones - one week per headphone - and like you more because I appreciate the sound rather than feeling obligated to listen to them all. During the first two days of listening to a newly rotated phone, I am unable to fully enjoy the music. I think it is because my mind and my ears are still hanging on to the memory of the last headphone that I just used. This is especially true when I use the LCD2 after the T1. The change in characteristics is just so big (in relative terms of course) that my mind struggles to re-grasp the signature.

I've now managed to find a rotation that allows me to enjoy the music while at the same time minimizing the adjustment time. It used to be 2-3 days, now, it takes me only a few hours.

Has anyone else experienced the same?

Also yes the T1's rock!

BTW, I'm sure the the LCD 2 does not diminish the Grados in any way. Mayhap find a rotation where the sudden change in sound sig is not so big?

The longest it took me was 5 days. That was when I listened exclusively to the LCD2 for a whole month before switching to something else. I disliked any other headphone for a good while after that month. I had to let my senses re-adjust to the signature of the other phones.

I really hope you're right! It's really bugging me that the Grados sound different...I'll see if changing the order makes a difference, like how you do it. I'm just so glad that the T1s still kick butt! Going back and forth between the T1s and LCDs is no problem...these two are going to become fast friends

I preferred my MS-Pro's to LCD-2's and I prefer my MS-Pro's to my T1's... Unless I'm listening critically, then the T1's win easily.

Yep, that's why I didn't quite see this coming...the PS500s have been a great headphone for me, and if I were ever forced to choose, I typically would choose those over the T1s, but not by much. Loved having both around and alternating between them. My ears just seem to really react to planar drivers...

Just switch the tubes to a pair of bodacious TUNGSOLs...and i am ready to tame the T1...
LCD2, i will switch to my robust crisp Svetlana, n Sylvania.

I prefer t1 over audeze lcd-2 and 3 but i dont consider the audeze to be worse, but actually better in many ways, just the t1 sound signature is something i really enjoy.

I could not get past the comfort level of the lcd2 to really give it a fair chance.
The T1's are comfortable and have given me many surprises in sound especially
when I think something is going on in the room and it turns out to be in the music.
I still want an opportunity to listen to the hd800's at length.

The T1s just do everything so well...they never leave me wanting for anything.

Do you take issue with the Audeze's comfort like others?

I love the T1's and the HD800's. Totally different personalities.  I currently swap out one at the office and one at home.  I would have gone down the planar magnetic road except my experience with the HE400's, which are less a comfort issue and more a weight problem for me.

After over a month using my T1 I can say that it is past the full burn-in stage and I can't stop listening. As soon as I get home and sit on my desk my first instinct is to grab my T1 and put it on.

Overall, the clarity is more brilliant, lows a lot more fuller and punchier and the mids are livelier. The biggest thing that obviously improve now is I can get to the same listen level as before but at lover volume. If I set the volume knob at the same position as I used to the volume is now uncomfortably loud.

I am using the Hifi-M8 to drive the T1 and I thought I needed a desktop amplifier to fully enjoy the T1. I put an effort to find the right desktop amplifier for the last 2 weeks. But now I feel like I don't need one. I'm completely happy how everything has turned out. I'll put the desktop amp search on hold for now until I find compelling reason/s to really upgrade my DAC/amp setup. (Not to mention it's versatile that I can have similar experience while on the road. But any IEM still is no match for T1. I hope my incoming JH16 can close the gap)

I observe that playing hi res audio file and adding BitPerfect on top of iTunes adds bigger smile on my face and my wallet
