where to buy Sony MDR XB 700 ear pads? | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

Hi, i would like to know if anybody could tell me where i can buy just the pads from the SONY MDR XB700.
(if anybody has the pads for sale i might be intereste as well).

I think you have to call up your local Sony distributor and order them direct. I think there wast a number on the little warranty sheet.

Local pillow factory? Oh wait, they are too soft to be classified as a pillow...

Yeah, you may just have to contact Sony directly. Guess you can always buy a pair and use those?

How much did those run ya? The quote I got from Sony was equal to the cost of the whole headphone.

Anaxilus, your right; a set of sony mdr xb earpads just cost the same as the headphones, and since the headphones are cheaper than most replacement pads i'll just buy a pair of headphones.

Okay, old thread but I have the same problem. My old ones are getting work and the phones are heavily modded. Id love to get a new set but I'd hate to waste everything else. Frankly, theyre junk after that.

Any place to get replacements?

You can probably order direct replacements from Sony. Or find a broken pair of XB700's and salvage the ear pads off them.
