I generally listen metal / rock music and trying to get an upgrade for my pair of CX 500. A local dealer here sells these two IEMs, Vsonic R04 (not R04 PRO) and Etymotic ER6i. My priorities are highs, soundstage and detail. Bass performance is not important for me, I just want some good (as good as it gets in this price range) soundstage and details. R04 is 25$ more expensive than Etymotic ER6i. Which one should I get?
 
I know there loads of threads about "help me choose x over y" threads but I don't know where else I can get opinions in this topic. Thanks in advance, much appreciated.

Vsonic R04 is more about mid and has better build, while ER6i has pretty good high and detail. R04 might have better soudnstage than ER6i, but neither are  especially well. If it must be between the two, I'll stick to ER6i for your preference (2 out of 3). But there are other (better) choice if you are willing to go online.

 

Can anyone tell me how Vsonic R04 compares with Brainwavz m2?
