STATIC from MBP: How should I connect it to my DAC??

Hey everyone,

I recently purchased an Audio-gd FUN DAC with various modifications and a MOON OPA. Lately I've been noticing a static buzz from my late 2008 MBP (my primary source using itunes and Amarra) on the digital audio out.

My question is the following:

Is there anyway to minimize or eliminate the buzzing through the DAC? If I use USB to connect my mbp to the DAC, will that eliminate the buzz? What are my other alternatives (to eliminate the buzz)?

I used a USB DAC on my early 08 MBP to eliminate buzz but I always thought that the buzz was only a problem with the analog outputs.  Whatever the real problem is, it ceased to be an issue with my EF2's USB DAC and my uDAC.

Does it buzz with the MBP charger plugged into the wall or disconnected from the wall(running on battery)?

Does it buzz when you touch the MBP with your hands or move the mouse around on the screen?
