most versatile dap?

Thread Starter

so after a long wait on the s:flo2 and using it for the past few weeks, ive come to realize it is not what i need. The sq might be better than average but the ui just looks plain and dull, has no reverse/forward track buttons, most importantly battery life is too short (which leads to charging every night = annoying)

Now i'm asking you guys which dap should i bite on next?

Requirements:

a) battery life at least more or less 40 hours

(including changing tracks from time to time)

b) output must be powerful enough to drive 16-70 ohm cans without any hint

   of distortion till maximum volume

c) small enough to fit in the pocket without discomfort

d) good build quality + simple but elegant design

e) supports microSD

f) sounds excellent

g) has user eq

So far the only choice for me would be Kenwood MG-F516

Suggestions are welcomed

regards

franz

J3 has buttons for Forward/Reverse and Vol+/-. So unless u always refer to the screen and manipulate it, i will say it's a good options. This is based on my experience with D2.

Well if you want tactile buttons you should have said so ;)
Hmm that does complicate things. I'm not aware of any player that meets those specifications with tactile controls.

yes i meant sturdy tactile buttons

with those, multitasking is a lot easier

does j3 possess those buttons?

Hang on it does! Silly me. It has a touch screen as well as tactile buttons.
Look it up, there's loads of info about it both here and the wider internet. Cowon J3.
