New Monster Turbine Pro Copper vs. Used Miles Davis Tribute ? (for non-jazz music) - Page 2

soundearphones do price match as well. you can try them.i tired both the MD and Copper and i have the copper now. In short, MD > Copper bass quantity, quality of bass are the same for me. Copper has more forward treble/vocal. Both mids are great. Overall copper > MD for me.

I just agve the MD's a listen and I do not find them to perform as well for the $. Though I have not heard the Monster Pro Copper, I am assuming they are very different. I am recieving them in a cuple days; but I am very dissapointed with the MD's. Though I do not listen to jazz much, they weren't very good with pop or hip hop. They shined with bass though. I have the Turbine Pearls and I find thm to be better than the MD's. I'm sure I'll get a lot of flack for that. They are all around "bigger" sounding. They sound like the artist is more close to you. It gives you a much better experience. Anyone agree?? Disagree??

Don't like to revive an old thread, but I'm in a similar situation.  I listen to a lot of pop and rock (mostly japanese rock xD).  How would the coppers work with these? I can get them for 140 dollars from a friend or save up to get the miles davis tribute for around 180.

Disagree completely.  MD's have one of the most forward mids out there of any phone.  Anymore intimate and the artist would be in my lap.  The Pearl was slotted below the Golds, Coppers and MDs and I never heard of them being that mid centric. Sounds like the Turbine housing just suits your fit and ear better w/ those tips.

For Rock get the Coppers as they are faster and brighter.  Plus the extra treble should help w/ Asian vocals.
