Dear all,

I'm discovering my new (used) K-1000 heaphones. Quick, transparent, detailed, less "in the head" sensation.

This said, I'm annoyed by the pressure on the temples. Seems to be a classic concern for some.

My question, what to do to lessen the problem ? Is deforming the outer steel headband a solution or are there some better things to do before ?

Regards.

JM.

The first thing to do is to slide the temple pads apart. I find mine much more comfortable with the pads wide apart.
If you've tried this already then the only gently bending the outer headband as you suggest does work.

Some people never manage to get on with the fit of these phones

I feel for those with large heads with these phones, after prolonged wearing over 3-4 days your head will become accustomed to the fit and it will not be a problem.

I can wear mine for 2-3 hours now with only a slight shifting of the position, they are very comfortable when you get used to them.

I have a smallish head and when I borrowed a couple of pairs of the K1000 (bass heavy and bass light) for about a fortnight I still had this unbearable pair from wearing them.

I find that there is a sweet spot where they fit well and feel good,I now put them on with pads fully extended and with the back of the cage level with the back of my ears.

By having a reference point I can put them on in exactly the same position every time, this is both for comfort and SQ.
