"new women"???... pural huh.

Now's a good time to set up a new secret bank account to fund your headphone-**** habit free and clear of the to-be-missus.

I tend to feel that those who fall in love with (the sound of) a pair of headphones cannot help it! It's not a matter of choice, just falling madly for the sound of a headphone (in my case the Senn HD580/600 and possibly 650).

Price be damned, I'd love the sound of my cans at $50 or $2,500. And I'm really not searching for anything else... whether some "quality time" with some of the other biggies (Stax, Orpheus, HP1000, etc) would change my mind, I don't have a clue. Don't care at this point, either.

You do make some really good points, great post...

The main obstacle in the final acceptance of a headphone is the desire for something better.

For me, and perhaps many out there, harsh economic realities may greatly aid your final acceptance of your headphone.

But remember, it is possible to be contented with what you have...
