Cincinnati meet November 20. Audio GD Ref. 7 & LCD-2 avail. (loan program)

If I can find a spot, we could have it both days. Looking for a smaller hospital with parking and cafeteria that we can lock for the evening. I was going to check Mercy Mt. Airy or Western Hills. That way it gives better flexibility. I'm going to shoot out some private messages to see if some casual posters are interested. If we have the crew from Dayton interested I could see about a place in West Chester.

To parties with preference, say now. If there are only a few for a Sunday meet, we can find a more central spot.

Weekend of November 20/21.

My wife works for mercy health partners. I'm not sure if she would be able to help pull any strings, but let me know if you need help locking in either of those locations.

He had some things that took his attention worthy of the delay. Not perhaps enough to make him lug the wheel to the meet but we'll think of another penance.

I do work for these hospitals so I can see what's avail. once we nail down a day and where most will be coming from. I'm in Batesville IN so the west side campus is handy.

I'd like to see if anybody would like to listen to different ICs or power cables on their gear that hasn't tried them?

hey duke, what ever happened to our little mini meet when we were gonna listen to your sweet vinyl rig?

Yeah! Time, where does it go......But to be totally honest I did have some family health issues that took a front seat for most of my (spring 2010), then as any "Tube guy" will tell you, They get HOT!!! I don't need to tell you or anyone else how hot our summer was! That with the total of 32 tubes in my Amps, power supplies, phono stage, and pre-amp  I could stand maybe a Lp or 3 sides of listening and would have to come out for air, and that's with the A/C on 72 degrees....So to answer your ? SoupRKnowva, Open invitation this fall....Hell, I still have David's disc.....I know poor excuses..... but BuBu 1 and I did get together at his place to listen to his new "Add-Ons", he's cookin' NOW!  See you at the meet,,God willin'  OK David, I'm ready for my penance!  Maybe stick my fingers down my 300B sockets ???  It has to be something related to audio, RIGHT!!   I will have you both over!!!      See you guys and yes I'll take the cable challenge, But as you already know I'm a "believer"!! Uncle Erik, where are YOU???

Bubu,

We'll be able to compare our M2Tech Hifaces as I bought used and don't know where my unit falls as far as manufacturing date.

Guess it's time to nail down the day and find a venue.

Some of the crowd needing Sunday to attend have since left the headphone hobby so let's see where our group takes us.

Please give your preference of Saturday or Sunday.

No preference here.

I do have a question that one of you may be able to answer (since this will be my first meet ever).  I have recently acquired an amp and headphones, but my source is my pc's essence stx. There is a good chance that I won't have a dac by the time the meet rolls around. Would it still be worth it to bring my headphones and amp without a source?

HC,
I'm still on for the meet.  Saturday will work fine for me.  BTW, I have a john kenny modded Hiface unit that runs the clocks off battery. Here is a link http://sites.google.com/site/hifacemods/ It will be fun to compare the stock to the modded unit.
I'm also looking forward to hearing the ref 7.
I'll try to drag Duke down with me!!!!!!!
Let me know the final details!
Tom
