pm message system weirdness

I think what you're referring to is the conversation view.  So if I send you a message, and you respond, then the conversation will appear in both folders, because we both participated in it.

If I send you a message, and you don't respond, it will only show in your inbox.

If you send a message to me, and I don't respond, then it will only show in your sent folder.

I know, it's obviously different than the way vBulletin handled it.  I like this way, though.

So I take it there's no way of getting rid of the messages I've sent from my inbox??

There is a little red cross at the right side PM list which will let you delete the massage. Alternatively you can check the box on the front of each message and select "delete" on the top or bottom of the page.

LOL... I actually meant preventing them being placed in the inbox in the first place.

EDIT: annoying as it seems I am sending pms to myself, and I send a lot of pms (much more than I post).

+1 with jjinh. it's confusing me because it also re-orders the messages and bumps the message you just replied to back to the top of list and when im going down the list replying to things....

can you perhaps provide an option to block sents from showing up in the inbox? that would be super helpful! thanks

Could the PM conversations please be ordered reverse-chronologically? It's kind of irritating to have to scroll to the bottom of a long conversation every time I get a new PM. Thanks.

I don't think there's a quote option, and likely because of the conversation-type format in which it's presented.  That is, when you respond to a private message, the message you're responding to remains in its entirety within that "conversation."

The option to reverse order will be submitted as a suggested feature.

Another bug:  If I open one of my past PM conversations and leave the reply box empty but hit 'Submit', it sends a blank PM to the reciever.
