Folks,
I just took out the tubes from my parents' old stereo. There's four 12ax7 bugle boys date coded 917. Someone told me they're from 1959, which seems about right. They look in good shape but I have no idea where I can get them tested in NYC or Connecticut. Do you all have any suggestions where I can get them checked? I don't want to swap them out for my current production ones and blow up my rig.
