I don't think anyone has heard all of them... I thought the KM-948 was pretty good for what it costs, though it's clearly no giant killer.

For $5, I was very impressed with the Kanen KM-92s. Be prepared for some pretty big bass though.

Well i know Kanen is not a big deal, but in low end cheap earphone section, most people say that they are really good.

What do you think about comparison with cx300? I have it i like it but many people say that they are better than cx300...

In compared to RE0 or hi-end earphones they may not be really good. But for moderate user what do you think?

Do you know what is the latest and highest model of Kanen? Is there a such a model?

Thanks

I have Kanen KM92, KM928 & KM880. They are all horrible. Even compared to CX300. If I had to choose one that is the LEAST horrible I'd pick the KM92.

It would be wise to find a Koss KSC75. They are only $15 and much better.

I have the KM92 and KM928 and I'm with Negakinu on this. Even the CX300 is noticably better. Get a Soundmagic PL30 for $20 and it's like High-End compared to the Kanens.

For $5, I think they're pretty good. I'm something of a bass-head so I enjoy the big bass these things can put out in some scenarios but only with proper EQing. Otherwise, the mids are recessed and the bass is big and bloated. In Foobar 2K, I EQ down the bass and raise the mids so they're no longer recessed and are actually somewhat clear.

The RE0s completely blow the KM-92s out of the water in terms of overall SQ but that's to be expected given the price disparity between them. For a moderate user, I'd still go with the RE0s since their price to quality ratio is so great.

+1. I don't like the CX300 but I have yet to hear a Kanen model that can match it, never mind beat it. Meelec M2 is still the best I've heard for ~$10, followed by the Coby CVEM79.

Stop asking about different Kanen 'phones! Forget you ever heard of the brand and look into the other suggestions here!

Meelec, Soundmagic, Coby, Koss, BetaBrainwavz... There is a huge thread here that lists about every IEM on the market, incl. the budget IEMs.
