Quick connectors (crimp) recommendation

I abandoned a project last year (see here and here) because, err, I was having trouble wiring it together. The insultated crimp quick connectors just wouldn't connect adequately for my liking and I felt the hookup wire I was using was a bit pants.

I've resolved the hookup wire issue and bought some 19 strand 20AWG silver telfon wire for the power circuits and some 24AWG silver kapton wire for the signal circuits from Navships (John's Wire Shop) off ebay.

I now need to sort out some crimp quick connectors....and again I'm having difficulty so would be grateful for some advice. I'd like to be able to crimp and then solder the connectors (vibration isn't a problem so I am content that soldering is OK), so I need connectors which will allow the insulator to be removed and then replaced or connectors where the connector and the insulator is purchased separately. Anyone care to suggest some candidates? I'd be really grateful if you could post a link.

Incidentally, these quick connectors need to accept a tab size of 6.3 x 0.8 mm. I do need other sizes, but if I can find one make/model which is appropriate, I hope to be able to buy others within the same range to suit my needs. I don't care how much they cost or where I buy them from....they just need to be right.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Plenty of views but no replies.

I seem to have tracked down some options with a bit of guidance from another forum, for instance, see these. Is this what people generally use?
