The Music Hall DAC 25.2 works. Sounded excellent, too.

Hey Now,

I got the camera kit USB to work with the following DACs:

Vivid Technologies V1 USB DAC HD AMP
Valab NOS USB DAC
Aune USB DAC/AMP

I could not get it to work with the Hot Audio DAC-Extacy USB DAC. I get a dialog box saying that the device uses to much power and the sound automatically goes out the speaker.

Earlier I could not seem to get the V1 to work. I noticed that there was a used uDAC in the FS forums and bought it. As others have reported it works great. I prefer the V1, so I might have a uDAC up for sale if anyone
is interested. It is red.

Any idea what changed so that the V1 went from not working to working?

My V1 still works with iPad - I tried it just now and confirmed it again.

Just wanted to make a comment related to Airfoil. With a jail broken iPad, it is now possible to open up the airfoil app on the iPad, then run it in the background while you use Logmein to control the desktop with the airfoil server. This is an easy way to use the iPad to access and control your entire library from a separate room from your computer.

I also tried running Safari while it played tunes while connected to my USB Dac. Safari will crash the background app if you load a webpage with a lot of photos. However, I had no problems with Atomic lite loading the same pages.

Has the E7 been added to the list?

You can set it to work on it's own power so the iPad doesn't drain, and it will apparently drive 600 ohm headphones.

Ah, thanks. Warp08 needs to link to that post in the OP, as it's easy to lose track of

Are there any experiences in using a M2tech HiFace USB stick?

Hey Now,

I just tried tried using the M2 Hiface USB stick and could not get it to work. I plugged the Hiface into the back of my Valab DAC into the coax input using an RCA male to male adapter and a USB A male to female plug into the Hiface.

I don't know if plugging directly into the camera kit and using a coax cable would make any difference. Don't have a coax cable handy right now.
