Ok, now that I've sold off some stuff I am ready to take the plunge and drop $700 (or less) on a SS amp for my APS V3 D5000 and K702 (forthcoming). I will eventually add a couple more headphones to the mix but for now I want to focus on an amp that I know will perform above its price point and synergize well with the headphones I have and know that I like.

I've narrowed it down to either the HA-160 or SRGII and was hoping there might be at least a few folks that have heard both and could weigh in on their differences/price to value, etc.

thanks

I've heard that amp a couple times and was very impressed with it but I think it would be too cold to mate well with the K702. I tend to gravitate more towards the amps that have more fun factor than neutrality.

uhhm.... exactly what I'm wondering now...

I've tried Solo II with K701, yes indeed it's sounds good, it offering smooth high with a bit forward and thick vocal with nice punch. But sometimes (read: only sometimes) I feel a little bit lack of energy for rock songs.

Now, how about HA-160? FWIR people always said that this amp has good synergy for K701/2, how about HA-160's character compare to Solo II?
