PFEs are one of those phones that I could wear the whole day without feeling discomfort. I really hope that they don't make any drastic changes to the current design on the next version 'cause it feels so right.

I had the UE TF10's and sent them back - I just found them too uncomfortable, even with the Comply tips. Are the PFE's much different even though the tips are the same? I swore I'd given up on IEM's, but in many cases they are so practical. I've been on the fence as far a purchasing all new stuff for months now, and keep changing my mind. I just don't understand why PFE's would feel that much different than UE TF10's or even Shure SE530's if all were outfitted with the same tips.

How do these compare to the Fischer Audio DBA-02's in SQ?
And are those DBA-02's comfortable enough to wear for a few hours a day?

Oh, and for those who want to know if they'll still look sexy with these on:

Quite discrete I must say.

SQ wise, the two are comparable. Both are fairly balanced yet still analytical, though DBA-02 is just a tab better on treble and resolution while PFE has a smoother, more natural bass performance. There is really no good / bad choice between the two.Comfort wise, PFE has the upper hand. I have used DBA-02 for hours without much problem but PFE is simply one of the best IEM that 'disappear' in the ear.

Thanks, I'll probably get the PFE's soon then.
Is the price when buying directly from them comparable to the price of resellers?
There's only a phone number to order on their website, and I'm afraid that if I call I'll just buy them without proper thinking

I don't know if you've heard the S4's, but how much of an improvement will the PFE's be over them?
I find them rather muddy, and I'm hoping these IEM's will do their job better.

The MSRP should be the same everywhere, but since you are in EU, ordering directly from Phonak should be a lot easier from oversea. Haven't heard the S4, so can't help you there.

I now have the TF10 and DBA-02.  I love the mids and bass of the DBA-02, but I find them a little hot up top.  I like the TF10 treble much more, but it's mid-bass hump annoys me and the mids seem veiled in comparison.  Is the treble on the PFE less harsh then the DBA-02?  Are the mids as lush?  Have you heard the Phonak Perfetc Bass yet?

PFE's treble is not harsh at all. On grey filter, PFE's vocal is not as forward and detail as DBA-02, on grey filter however, PFE's vocal is sweeter and more textured than DBA-02. I haven't heard the Perfect Bass yet.

I've been using the PFE's for two months now, and they disappointed me a bit. Sound-wise they are really awesome, as for the rest...
I can't seem to get the fit right, have to push them back in every two minutes. Besides that they somehow make my ears generate lots of earwax while using them, which has resulted in the ruining of almost every filter..
I've been thinking that getting other tips might help solve these problems, does anyone have suggestions on which tips I could try? ClieOS you have lots of phones and tips so maybe you can recommend something? I've tried the foamies but I don't really like them, the tips with the Klipsch S4's were very good but they don't fit these phones.

If fit and earwax is an issue, my general recommendation is actually foam tip. Shure olive (black foam) should fit PFE and it will be my top recommendation. Other than that, Sony Hybrid clone on eBay as well as eartips from JAYS (anything that fits q-JAYS) can be used. You might also be the type of people who get a lot of earwax when using IEM. That's really no cure for earwax so I can only suggest you clean your ear canal more often.

Well I'm going to try the Shure olive tips then. I've had no problems with other iem's, so my ears somehow just don't like the tips of these phones in particular.
