Going to be waiting for this personally, or whichever of the multitude of tables coming out offers the best deal - http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/31/asus-eee-pad-official-intel-culv-processors-windows-7-and-a-1/

Minimum $500 for no Flash, no support for my current Windows programs, no USB ports, no SD slots and no camera? No thanks, I'll wait for a competitor to deliver the goods.

it wasnt made for you though was it? its not a tablet PC and wasnt designed to compete with them, I wish people would stop comparing it to tablets and saying it lacks features. thats a bit like saying my car doesnt really make a very good aeroplane because it cant fly

what!! thats bloody slack man, they better still have that date, you have spoken with Jessica though at some point right? or did you never get a reply to that email I copied to you when introducing you 2? I would have called her to annoy her well before now and if i'd known you hadnt spoken to her I would have followed up with another email

sorry if the above read like I was blaming you, I wasnt; although I would have followed up by now, its all on here for not contacting you. I dont have a direct number for jessica, just call the number listed on the site and ask for her, send a follow up email too, you should have the address from that forwarded message. i'll send her one too to ask whats going on.

I got an email from someone else saying she's not in today. It looks like we can't really fit more than 30 people in the room so if you're planning on bringing a mate, it's best to let everyone know. So far, just one person has asked to bring their dad.

yeah because that second room is on the sly, so dont mention that to that guy just in case its under the radar

Clearly it's most precisely engineered for a demographic that wants simplicity and accessibilty at the cost of functionality and customisation but let's face it, they're mass marketing this. A lot of the people who buy it may end up being dissapointed by things it can't do, and would have preferred a fully functionable tablet if the option was dangled in front of them.

I don't think there's a huge difference anyway. Really, the big stand out is the lack of a desktop OS, everything else I mentioned would have fit on it as a feature quite logically. Comparing cars to aeroplanes is a bit farfetched. It's more like the difference between a station wagon and a compact.

MWUAHAHAHAHA my stagedac and concerto have arrived and I'll be damned its an immediate improvement, I was extremely sceptical as to how much a difference just a source upgrade could provide but I'm a convert. This just hammers home how crap my beresford was and currently is.

Great to hear! And yes I'd imagine the Beresford is crap compared to the StageDAC, and the Concerto is probably a bit better than the Swing, etc.
