MSRP is ¥12600, or about $136 US. I'd expect the price to come down to around ¥8000~8500 in a couple months from Japanese online retailers.

Websites that ship to the North America and Europe will probably charge closer to $150.

For those who understand the reference, they look like something that the NOD from the Command and Conquer game series might design...

I'm wondering if the Limited edition red will only be available to the Japanese market or will be distributed internationally.

@kjk1281: that's not that bad a price then. If it goes down to around 8500 I might consider it. I would probably get it forwarded if the price difference was a lot. I usually wait till reviews anyway

I really don't know how to describe those things.

Well, here's hoping the sound quality will be good and considering AT's reputation, it should be.

Edit: Red cable is hawt though. Too bad the earpiece themselves looks so...eccentric.

They look goofy but the CKS70 are extremely comfortable and stay in my ears very well, I would say as comfortable or better then the IE8.

Kinda think the red band around the driver is a bit much. It would be in the ear and not really visible though. Figuring mediums tips are on them, they are not really that big(smaller than CKS70?) and won't stick out that much. Not quite UE first gen or EX700 but you probably won't be sleeping with them on!

Very nice. I thought the CKS70 did some things really well and I'm curious to see what improvements Audio-Technica has made. Only thing is, the CKS70 were very susceptible to wind noise and these CKS90 look like they stick out of your ears more, so I'm kind of worried that the problem might be even worse.

I've read some very positive reviews in Japanese on the CKS90LTD.
The general consensus seems to be that the "problems" found in the CKS70 have been resolved.

It's going for 8190yen on the streets in Japan but has anyone here have a personal review to share? Will really like to know how neutral it is (I'm not a basshead but I appreciate good bass!).

Might just pick these up when I'm in Japan next month. XD

I might be getting a pair soon. My Japanese friend is heading back to Tokyo tomorrow so I'm asking him to help me pick up a pair of these as well as a pair of ES10s.

The markups are ridiculous--some are asking for double! I want to ask my fiancee to ship it to her mother's house but I'm already hiding a few purchases and the ones she knows of do not please her. I just need to buy everything when I go visit the in-laws later this year before the wedding.
