I'm looking for one of those amp for my UE triple fi 10, right now I have a caffeine amp and I'm pretty happy with it but well it's a big big and the power thing on the side is a bummer, at least for me, whenever I put in my pocket it turns off :\.

Why the T3 and T4 because of the extra bass, but I wonder how good will the Ibasso D2 fit my needs. I will use it mostly with my Cowon D2 and like I said before the UE triple fi 10 and sometimes with my computer so anyone have something similar in that price range?

I also have a Cowon D2, and also have a Penguin Caffeine amp. A few weeks ago I got an Ibasso T3, using Yuin PK1 and PK3's, and G2A. I haven't done a lot of AB'ing between the Caffeine and T3, I think the T3 is a little more clear-sounding, otherwise they're close.

The gain switches on the T3 give little or no boost to the bass, which is fine with me, the bass on the T3 is okay, and I'm not a basshead. The bass boost on the Caffeine gives a huge boost to the bass compared to the T3.

The size of the T3 is perfect with the D2, that's the main reason I got it. Like you, the Caffeine was just too big for me to consider it portable. I don't use it any more.

Save a couple more bucks and get the Shadow, perfect synergy with the trips. Trust me it will be worth saving for, and its about the size of a Sansa Clip maybe a tad bigger in every dimension. Cheers
