DIY Hexacopter kits start at $1549. Very cool toy. If I had the place to fly one, I'd possibly consider it. Or maybe not, a remote like that will cost you significant dough.

I just checked, it uses the atmel controller! not quite an arduino but almost. and yes, its open source. but the source is in german. ich verstehe nicht ;(
