How do they stack up against this? MP-301 6V6 Mini Amplifier with Headphone Output [MP-301] - $199.99 : Musical Paradise - Audio Art

or the Millet Hybrid?

im pretty sure youll need a power amp if you want to run the little dot on speakers, unless they are really low resistance speakers.

im curious about the little dot vs millet hybird though

The LDMKIII can be use as a pre-amp to a power amp that will drive the speakers or a self-powered speakers will do fine.

If you are set on using the ld mk3 for the senns exclusively, youll be fine. For Grados, I would get a hybrid or a solid state amp at this price level. I'm not sure If you can do much better for the price with the ld mk2 and 3 for the 300 ohm senns. I havent heard the hd650 ld mk3 synergy directly but my ldmk2 with we403b and 6n6p tubes surely make my hd580s sing better than other more expensive amps ive had. If we are talking about having enough power to drive the 650s... I'm sure the mk2/mk3 will be sufficient. The 650s are after all practically the same efficiency as the 580/600 and the mk3 practically the same amp as my mk2 with upgraded parts.

Not sure what this means? Can I use the LD straight to the speakers without a power amp?
