I wonder who of the casual people will buy such an ugly thing for such a money.
Okay, yuins and others are making money solely on SQ, they do not have to worry about their products appearance etc; but sennheiser's headphones should be targeted to casual audience as well... and MX980 looks so cheap and ugly

kostalex...

I was wondering about the BLOX TM5 bass...
I own the Yuin-OK1 and I consider them terrific in terms of Sound Quality but not so good with bass (I'm a bass-head I know it...

)
Do the TM5 maintain their great bass depth even at higher volume level?
Are there any picture of them? I can't see the one you posted...

Thank You!

Cheers!

It is strange that you do not see pictures. They are hosted at head-fi as an attachments. You probably have the same troubles with other attachments here. Well, it is not a problem, since TM5 use generic shells same to Sennheiser MX400, which you may google. Cable is different though, no volume control for TM5 and it has straight plug, not L-shaped.

Yes. I just checked with sine waves and it produces low frequency tones with no distortions.

kostalex,

How is the TM5's cable friction compared to PK1's very high friction?
How long is its cable?
Is the plug compartment angled (90 degrees?) or straight? Thought it looked angled on the picture but could be mistaken due to white on white.

Thanks for the nice review!

TM5 sound is more dependable on foams comparing to Yuins. This lets to shape the sound more in a way you like. I choosed some foams which altered sound sig towards PK1. Right now I am listening to Gary Moore "Trouble Ain't Far Behind", source is 5.5 gen > Pico > TM5. Though it is a blues, which is a strong genre of PK1km, I do not miss my PK1km anymore. TM5 sings with excellence. I should try these foams with more aggressive music, like hard rock, metal and alternative.
