It is, but it's completely worth it in the end, IMO. Decored olives are still pretty good though.

Anyway how to I multiquote here? Clicking the multiquote button and then clicking post reply does nothing.

I just copy and paste what I want to quote, then wrap quote tags around it. I'm too lazy to put in the names of who I quote though, but all you have to do is
whoever said:
for the starting quote tag.

Dunno about the muffled sound with the t400s. I use the large size for a secure fit and they sound fine to me. I guess I'll have to do a comparison with the stock silicone tips but they annoy me because they come loose too easily.

That's a good description of how to get cored Shures on the RE0's. I used an old roach clip/surgical instrument. Kinda like a needlnose but thinner.

Or just click on the little button to the right of the quote button. For the last post you want to quote, hit "quote" instead of the little "+" button, and it will multiquote everything you've added.

Oh, so that's how that works. Thanks.

That doesn't work for me. It just quotes the post where I clicked 'quote'. Maybe it doesn't work in Firefox?

I use Firefox, as well. It should work for you.

Do a quick test: click the "+" button on your last post (the one I've quoted here), and then click the "quote" button on this post of mine here. In the post dialog box, it should have two quoted texts ready to go for your post (i.e. yours first, and then mine).

No it doesnt work. Maybe it's some connection problem here at my workplace. I'm guessing when you click the '+' button it should turn a different colour or something, but nothing happens here. Anyway, no big deal. lol

I hope my tips arrive today before Christmas day but I doubt it will reach that soon. So far even without a really good seal I'm really liking my RE0. Blows the PL50 away. No contest. I think I'll be selling my PL50 soon (to local buyers in Malaysia).

Lol. Oh yeah, back on topic: the RE0 kick major butt.

Got some needle-nose pliers and got Shure olives on. My tip: place the pliers deeply in the that goes in the ear, make sure it's in the nozzle and not just the foam. Slowly stretch out the nozzle (careful not to rip the foam) so that the RE0 can snugly fit in the other side. Let the pliers close on the nozzle and then open them just enough so to pull them out. To remove: very tightly clamp the tip with one prong in the core and one outside the tip. The foam should not rip if you clamp tight enough.

Sound: MUCH better bass impact. Everything else benefits as expected from better isolation.

EDIT:

It's important to position the tips the same travel on the nozzle. Sound is much less cold and impact is fun, perhaps a little exaggerated but welcome.
