I am strictly going to be using these for rock/hardcore/alternative music. I know that Grado holds the title for rock oriented stuff for its "energy"but how will the Pk1s stand up to them?

And how much better are the 125s than the 80 and the225s to the 125s? Thanks guys

Well the PK1 will most likely need an amp also, but I think the T4 would be totally up to the task. I have the PK2 and it's a great sounding bud, I can't imagine how good the PK1 sounds instead.

I've never used a Grado, but with how popular the PK1 is I'm sure it's a decent choice, but then same goes for the grado's. Hopefully someone else can chime in for you

I answered myself the same question today: PK1 or SR225?
I prefer PK1. Right now I am listening to it from Nano 1G. Nice sound without amping. Sleek minimalistic while excellent sounding setup.

I'm going to only be using these in quiet areas (like my school's library or at home) and having earbuds would be more convenient than cans in taking them to school.

I haven't heard the SR-125is but i do have the SR-80s and i like the PK1s a lot more than the SR-80s. So much so that i think that they would be better than the next in line SR-125s. With the proper amping i think that the PK1s sound a lot better....

Yea so after Christmas I have 200 bucks in spending money... I'm still thinking about the Yuin PK1s but the Grado 225is are pretty tempting right now at 200 with free shipping over at headroom....

So should I stick with that idea and pick up the 225s or go with the Yuins? Are the Grado's 40 dollar price hike worth it?
