Ok well, I love me sum D1k, but they seriously bruise the hell out of my ears. I sold my Hd 485s a while back to afford the D1k and ive been kicking myself for doing so ever since. Even though they were open back, they were so damn comfy and great in every way :[ The d1k are GREAT too, but not as great as the 485 IMO. I trust Sennheiser to NEVER let me down...
I wanted to know if anyone would recommend I sell the D1k in return for the closed back version of the new Senn 428 lineup. It's got everything I'd like. Nice bass response, closed back, people say its immensely comfy with nice BIG ear cups.
What do you think I should do? Should i go for the 438 or 448? The D1k has a wider Freq. Response, like 8-37 or something and the 438 has only 15-23, but boasts mega bass...anyone actually own the 438 or 448 and the D1k to compare?
