Hello guys,

I am a long time lurker, first time poster.... Benefitted from all of the great knowledge and opinions on this forum for a while so decided I should finally try to join the discussion.

Have been listening to my Head-Driect RE0's for a while (after reading all of the great reviews on here) and finally convinced myself to upgrade to UE TF 10s...

Found a decent deal on eBay and when the box arrived, they were TF 10vi!

I have read enough on the forum to know that the only difference in design/mechanics between the 10 and the 10vi is the in-line mic and the cable connecter at the end (straight on vi vs L-shaped on 10), but what I really care about (before opening the box and losing my ability to return the vis) is the sound quality.

Basically, I would just like to know if the sound quality and characteristics of the 10vi are exactly the same as the 10. If they are the same from a listening standpoint then I can live with the little mic dangling on the cable

Thanks for any help in advance and sorry to be asking such a noobish question in my first post. I'm just glad to have found this place

Same thing, cord is just different. The vi's cord is actually much thinner than say the replacement cord you can get... but the replacement does not come with a mic, only the original vi cord does, hence the 'vi'.

Thanks for the quick responses!

Now I know I am fine to use these 10vi's that I was sent and shouldn't send them back for the normal v10s!

I will definitely comment on my impressions vs the reo in the v10 appreciation thread.

you can get a replacement normal, or with the vi cord if you'd like from the site. so if you don't want or need it, get the normal cord

Where did you get yours? Logitech told me that they could not send replacement cords because they only came in non-vi form and that they had to replace out the whole unit so I'd have to RMA back the entire set. I opted to just get the cord and got the thicker non-vi version.
