I am looking for a DAC and amp solution for my work computer to improve my found quality. I have a dell workstation and Grado SR60 phones, and use foobar with high bitrate mp3s and aacs. The current sound isnt too bad but is very fatiguing to my ears. I want an integrated DAC/AMP solution and bus powered would be nice but isnt a must have. Portable is desirable but i use sure iems with my ipod for travel and dont really need an amp there, volume control is desirable. Budget is $100 and cheaper is good, used is fine as well. Current considerations:
1. Nuforce uDAC this looks perfect if i can get one
2. Nuforce icon mobile above should be better?
3. Corda move (used) had an old porta corda that was great
4. Total Bithead not as well regarded as others
I am open to other suggestions and links to classifieds are welcome
thanks

why do you say the bithead is not as well regarded. i think it's a great entry portable dac/amp solution.

personally that was my first dac or amp of any kind and it made a drastic improvement on my desktop setup (coming from just using crappy onboard sound)

I did not mean to imply that the bithead is bad in anyway merely that the chatter around here seems to say that other options are better and in a number of cases cheaper as well. I want the best sound for the least money (don't we all?)
